Just thought we’d try the Great Wall as others that we use have gone down hill, the food was amazing and will definitely be using them again
Good Chinese food. Great Wall makes some very good Chinese takeaway, tastes amazing and is usually quick to pick up. They get a bit busy at weekends but I think that tells you how good the food is!

Very speedy cooking when collecting. Would recommend the Singapore rice noodles and the Singapore fried rice.

The Horse and Groom is a regular place we dine at once a month or more. Often gets very busy and the service suffers for this especially drink orders. However the table staff are always friendly and helpful. If you are a member of The AA download their app and you can get 20% discount off the bill, which makes it outstanding good value. I've never tried their chicken and have only ordered grill items usually either Gammon or beef steak which have always been well prepared and of good quality. The salad bar is a very good idea which saves you money as there isn't a need for a starter and there is enough variety that even the youngest or most picky of eaters will find something they can snack on whilst their main meals are cooked. Overall the best thing I can say about the Horse and Groom and Harvesters in general is to compare them to McDonald's meaning that you know exactly what to expect each time you visit and the food is always consistent. To summarise a visit to the Horse and Groom means good food, well prepared, served by helpful and friendly staff that is reasonably priced and that is something I value highly.
The food is always a good standard here and ive never been left dissatisfied. The staff are welcoming, helpful and attentive. Breakfast is really good and excellent value for money ! Create your own breakfast for around £8 is fantastic value these days. Nice if you don't want to deal with the hustle and bustle of the town centre.
